The Embassy of The Republic of Liberia in London invites all Liberians to attend an interactive community engagement with the delegation of the Government of Liberia, headed by the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Hon Nathanial F. McGill. The event will take place in the conference room of the Embassy of Liberia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trade mission investment meeting at the House Of Lords hosted by Lord Sheikh.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

H.E. Ambassador Gurly Gibson Schwarz of The Embassy Of Liberia UK, attended a trade mission meeting led by The Lord Sheikh and Lady Shaida Sheikh at the House of Lords with the intention of organising an in-person trade and investment mission to Liberia to take place before the end of 2022.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

H.E. Gibson Schwarz spoke of the investment opportunities in Liberia, which present huge returns on investment, where the US $ is a legal tender alongside the Liberian Dollar, with zero restrictions of repatriation of funds from investments. English being the first language provides few challenges and creates significant opportunities for investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H.E. Gibson Schwarz told those attending at the British Parliament that traveling to Liberia will help businesses see for themselves and identify enterprises to invest their capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord Sheikh expressed his intentions of forming a trade alliance with Liberia, stating that there are enormous trade investment opportunities in the renewable energy, blue economy and tourism sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Turner, co-founder and director of NLA international Ltd was also in attendance and profoundly contributed to the meeting, detailing the possibilities of blue economy innovation within Liberia to improve and restore its ocean wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liberia\u2019s Surfing Hotspot in Robertsport, Liberia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN reported that the \u201cfishing village of Robertsport has become a vibrant hub for Liberian surfers, and a destination for international tourists in search of some of West Africa’s best breaks.\u201d (CNN, 2022)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRobertsport has joined both the country’s capital Monrovia and Harper, close to the Ivory Coast border, as the key surfing hubs in Liberia, elevating the West African nation’s status as one of the continent’s most vibrant surfing communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irene George is the only female surfer in Robertsport. Her skills have earned her the nickname “Butterfly,” because she moves through the waves like she’s flying. Her dreams for the future include opening a school to teach kids how to swim and surf.\u201d (CNN, 2022)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
